Palliative / Hospice Physician opening in Wisconsin _x000D_Eau Claire, WI_x000D_Minneapolis, MN - 90 miles_x000D_PART TIME_x000D x000D_Health System is hiring a physician to become a collaborative member of both Palliative Care and Hospice interdisciplinary teams, sharing responsibilities with three other Hospice & Palliative Medicine physicians. The physician considered for this role should have interest and commitment to ambulatory Palliative Medical practice. Additional opportunities would be available in education, research and leadership, commensurate with interests, skills, and available time. _x000D x000D_Please note this is currently a part-time position at 0.6 FTE; full-time position could be pursued for applicant with appropriate interests or requirements._x000D_ _x000D_Job Responsibilities:_x000D_- Provide outpatient Palliative Medicine consultation and longitudinal clinic, with goal of developing integrated palliative and oncologic care._x000D_- Participate in inpatient consultation service and/or Hospice Medical Director rotational coverage._x000D_- Collaborate with the primary service, other consultants, and the interdisciplinary team to contribute to the patients plan of care._x000D_- Facilitate clarification of patient and family goals of care._x000D_- Provide expert physical and non-physical symptom assessment and management._x000D_- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings._x000D_- Appropriately document patient care services to support professional billing._x000D_- Serve as collaborating physician for Palliative Care Service nurse practitioners._x000D_- Collaborate with other departmental physicians in shared call schedule for hospice coverage, as well as palliative care call coverage if it were to commence._x000D_- Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives._x000D_- Provide Palliative Care education for staff, colleagues, students, and community, as indicated and appropriate._x000D_- Adhere to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff, and the organization._x000D_- Remain open to perform other duties as requested._x000D x000D_Professional and Ethical Considerations:_x000D_- Commitment to covenantal physician-patient relationship and whole-person care._x000D_- Commitment to not participate in physician-assisted suicide or euthanasia._x000D_- Candidates must be board certified or board eligible and fellowship-trained in Hospice and Palliative Medicine._x000D_- Must currently possess DEA registration or obtain it upon hire. _x000D_- Must have a current license to practice medicine in the state of Wisconsin or obtain it upon hire.
