Sentry Insurance is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in our Middleton, WI office location. The Senior Software Engineer leads and provides in-depth input into the identification and development of insurance business applications. What You'll Do You'll be a valuable contributor to our team. - Lead the development, implementation, and enhancement of new and existing client and server-side applications based on in-depth insurance domain and product knowledge.
- Develop audit testing procedures, debugging procedures, and coordination with other Information Technology personnel to communicate information to facilitate compatibility of all systems throughout Sentry.
- Respond to application production problems by analyzing the problem, formulating a solution, and changing or repairing the applications to avoid costly interruption of services to users.
- Ensure continuous operations of existing applications.
- Ensure complete and accurate documentation of applications.
- Work collaboratively with other developers and engineers to ensure best practices are followed.
- Review and recommend changes to code updates that are introduced into the applications.
- What it Takes:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive computer programming experience. As part of the 5 years of progressive computer programming experience required, the individual must have:
