We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.SummaryThis role is responsible to maintain, service, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems and equipment in a manufacturing facility. This electrician will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of the electrical systems and all related equipment along with having the ability to make decisions based on sound judgment when a situation dictates. It is imperative this person conduct themselves in a manner that ensures alertness and constant awareness of the safe operation of equipment and surrounding areas. Work relationships and communications are key ingredients to the success of the individual holding this role. They must be able to maintain open communications and productive work relationships with team leaders, operators, laborers, mechanics, other electricians, supervisors, and shift managers.----The area of work includes both inside the facility and outdoors, depending on work requirements.Key Responsibilities - Repair and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and control systems on equipment.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and actively participate in safety programs designed to ensure a safe working environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, electrical systems, control panels, various instrumentation devices, and other control system components.
- Interface with supervisory personnel about equipment conditions and problems in the electrical systems.
- Maintain, repair, and install plant lighting.
- Utilize electrical/electronic prints/schematics, ladder logic, plant computer systems, the current National Electrical Codes, and test equipment to complete assigned tasks.
- Take electrical call outs and complete all jobs as assigned.
- Enter and perform work on work orders assigned and plan/schedule additional work as needed.
- Understand the purpose of Preventative Maintenance and Predictive Maintenance and participate in these programs.
- Maintain work area in a clean and functional condition.
- Must be able to locate parts and reference part numbers.
- Must be able to accurately enter data into computer and complete daily paperwork in a timely manner.
- Ensure attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position.Typical Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Instrumentation or electrical educationRelevant Experience
- 5+ years related experience and/or trainingRequired Certifications
