  Job Details
  • Works under the supervision of the Radiology Manager and staff Radiologist.
  • Performs a variety of procedures utilizing ultrasound equipment.
  • Prepares patients for procedures.
  • Obtains appropriate medical history.
  • Performs ultrasound procedures according to the ultrasound protocol.
  • Maintains cleanliness of equipment and rooms.
  • Maintains adequate stock of medical supplies.
  • Schedules patients for procedures when required.
  • Performs quality assurance and improvement activities as required.
  • Processes films for procedure.
  • Required to be 'on-call' as scheduled by Radiology Manager.
  • Demonstrates the ability to perform procedures in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensures that expenditures for job related activities are within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all personnel and patient care and relations information.
  • Actively participates in Customer/Guest Relations and Mandatory Education programs.
  • Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
    Job Requirements
    • Minimum of 1 year previous experience required.
    • Specific licensures required: ARMDS and BLS required.
      Schedule Information
      • 8 hour days.
      • Call every third weekend, and 2 week days when not on weekend call.
      • Call is 4pm-8pm M-F and 8am-1pm Sat and Sun.
        Unit Specific Information
        • Very small department. Will work with 2 Techs per day.
          Additional Details
          • ARDMS required.
          • CPR/BLS - American Heart Association required.
          • Need to feel comfortable with general and vascular.
